I am a researcher in clinical psychology and currently in training for psychological psychotherapy.

I am fascinated by feelings, thoughts and actions of human beings. What causes mental suffering and what helps those affected? The unconscious as well as the conscious impress me. I like questions more than answers. And I favour associative, integrative thinking. Literature and music are an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

I received my doctoral degree in December 2014 at the University of Hildesheim.  Since 2021 I am a Junior Professor at Witten/Herdecke University. I am further completing my post-graduate training for psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Berliner Academy for Psychotherapy.
